RENOPAN MEMBRANE is a renovation panel applied over an existing roof without removing the old covering. The membrane is laminated onto the steel sheet in the factory; no separate waterproofing layer is laid on site.
The top facing is galvanised steel laminated with membrane, with a sheet thickness between 0.30 and 0.50 mm. The membrane is supplied as PVC or TPO. A 100 mm flap is left at one end of the panel; the flap laps over the adjacent panel and the joint is closed with the membrane itself.
The panel is flat and has no ribs. The cover width is 1000 mm and the core thickness ranges from 40 to 100 mm. With a polyurethane core, the thermal conductivity is 0.022 W/mK, the density 40 kg/m³ and the fire class B-s2-d0.
The first question in the application decision is the load-bearing capacity of the existing roof. The panel rests on the old covering and the load distribution differs from that of a new roof; the panel is not installed until the load-bearing structure has been verified to carry the additional load.
