RENOPAN MEMBRANE-FACED is a renovation panel applied over an existing roof without removing the old covering. The membrane is laminated onto the steel sheet in the factory; no separate waterproofing layer is laid on site.

The upper facing is galvanised steel laminated to a membrane, with a sheet thickness between 0.30 and 0.50 mm. The membrane comes as either PVC or TPO. A 100 mm flap is left at one end of the panel; the flap lies over the adjacent panel and the joint is closed by the membrane itself.

The panel is flat and has no ribs. The cover width is 1000 mm and the core thickness ranges from 40 to 100 mm. The hybrid core combines rock wool and polyurethane; thermal conductivity is 0.045 W/mK and the fire class is A2-s1-d0.

The first question in deciding on the application is the load-bearing capacity of the existing roof. The panel rests on the old covering and the load distribution differs from that of a new roof; the application is not carried out until it has been confirmed that the structural system can take the additional load.
