PIRBOARD KR is a PIR insulation board faced with kraft paper on both sides. It is the most economical facing option in the range.
It is used in enclosed, sheltered spaces and in applications where the board will be covered by another layer. The kraft facing must be protected from rain: once the paper gets wet, it loses both its bonding and its vapour barrier function.
The board size is 1200 x 2400 mm and the thickness ranges from 20 to 200 mm. The thermal conductivity of the PIR core is 0.022 W/mK and the fire class is B-s1-d0. Sealing the joints tightly matters more than the choice of thickness; a joint left open cancels out the gain of the section.
