SOLAR ROOF - PU is the polyurethane-core version of the five-rib panel chosen for roofs on which solar modules will be mounted. The rib height is 37 mm and the module support system is fixed to this rib.

A roof carrying a solar plant takes, on top of its own load, the permanent weight of the modules and the supporting structure, the varying wind suction and maintenance traffic. If these are not taken into account when the panel is selected, the shell has to be reinforced later.

The polyurethane core gives a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK; thickness goes up to 200 mm. Fixings are made from the top of the rib and the panel is chosen as a single piece wherever possible: every side lap is one more sealing point. Details are on the PV roof panel page.
