NRP3 Rock Wool is the rock wool core version of the three-rib roof profile. The rib height is 37 mm. It is the profile chosen for buildings where the fire regulation requires class A2; the fire class is A2-s1-d0.
The thermal conductivity of the rock wool core is 0.045 W/mK, which means the same insulation value is achieved at roughly twice the thickness compared with a polyurethane core panel. The insulation target is met by thickness, not by changing the core; the result for the section is read from the U-value calculation.
A rock wool core loses its insulation value when it gets wet and does not regain it; for this reason it must be protected from precipitation during stacking and installation, and the joints must be sealed watertight. Load tables are in the Library section, joint details in the Library section.
