Nuhpanel A.Ş. manufactures sandwich panels with polyurethane and rock wool cores. That work has two sides: the mark it leaves on the environment and the safety of the people who do it. Neither is a separate policy; both are parts of the same management system.
An accident at work is not an event to be managed after it happens, but a risk to be prevented before it does.
Our policy
What we undertake while running our current processes:
- To achieve continuous improvement in product quality, in occupational health and safety, in the indices that show how the management system is working, and in supply chain performance
- To meet the environmental and occupational health and safety requirements set by law and regulation
- To carry out risk, environmental and accident analyses for our processes and take measures that prevent pollution and accidents
- To maintain communication with third parties
- To build environmental and safety awareness among our people
- To take preventive measures against accidents at work, injuries and occupational illnesses
- To maximise customer satisfaction in production and delivery by developing new products
Management systems
Our environmental management system is certified under ISO 14001 and our occupational health and safety management system under ISO 45001. Both run together with the quality management system as a single integrated system: when a process changes, the records of all three are updated at the same time.

Risk analysis and prevention
A risk analysis is carried out for every process and the measures follow from its result. The order of the approach is this:
- Remove the risk at source: carry out the hazardous operation by another method
- Reduce the risk: machine guarding, ventilation, automation
- Personal protective equipment: when the first two are exhausted
Personal protective equipment comes last, because it depends on the attention of the person wearing it; a risk solved at source depends on nobody's attention.
The environmental side
The environmental load of production is measured in three places: waste, emissions and resource use.
- Offcuts: because the continuous line cuts the panel to the length ordered, waste is lower than in batch production
- Cutting waste: separated as scrap steel and sent for recycling
- The product itself: a sandwich panel is a building element that can be dismantled and reinstalled; at the end of its life the steel is recycled
Beyond that, the work the panel does is energy saving in itself: it holds inside the air a facility has heated or cooled. Our sustainability targets are published on the Company page.
Awareness among our people
A safety system is no stronger than the person applying it on the ground. For that reason environmental and safety training is given on joining and repeated periodically; every report from the shop floor is recorded and followed until it is closed.
