The acoustic roof panel is a five-rib roof panel with a perforated inner sheet. The perforated surface lets sound reach the core; the porous rock wool core absorbs the sound.
This panel does not insulate against sound; it reduces reverberation and noise build-up inside the space. These are two different problems: sound transmission is solved with mass, reverberation with absorption. In a production hall, the second one is usually the more troublesome.
The fire class is A2-s1-d0 and the thermal conductivity is 0.045 W/mK; the thickness goes up to 200 mm. A perforated surface collects more dust than a flat one, so cleaning intervals are planned accordingly. Sound absorption values are based on measurement; the documents are in the Library section.
